SRA request for anti-money laundering and sanctions information

All regulated firms are being asked by the SRA to fill out a questionnaire with information on the money laundering and sanctioning regimes. In particular, the SRA is seeking information on the work that firms carry out under the scope of money laundering regulations and on any involvement with the sanctions regime. The form will be open until 23 September 2024.

Beyond the Radar masterclass
Internal regulatory investigations: a comprehensive workshop

Themed "navigating changing regulation", our Beyond the Radar event on 18 September will be a deep dive into the regulatory landscape and the key themes emerging from our research.

We will be holding a series of masterclass sessions, including, Navigating ransomware incidents: an interactive masterclass. Led by Sam Tate, Matthew Griffith, Graham Reid and Toby Lamarque, we will explore the critical aspects of managing internal regulatory and/or criminal investigations in this focused workshop. Participants will engage in a scenario-based learning environment, navigating through the intricacies of an investigation from start to finish including responding to initial regulator requests, viewpoints on regulator engagement from insurance perspective, handling potential whistle-blower information and staff interviews, securing and protecting data, as well as implementing best practices to manage risks adeptly, ensuring appropriate internal oversight and avoiding common pitfalls.

Following the masterclasses, you will have the opportunity to hear from our expert panel as they debate key challenges faced by in-house legal teams and regulatory bodies, and explore how businesses can best prepare to effectively navigate changing regulation.
